" In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Pastor Donald G. Tatum
I accepted the Lord when I was 8 years old and was active in the local Baptist church in Reno NV. When I went away to college, I strayed away for over 10 years but the Lord's hand drew me back to Him; Founding Bible Study Outreach Ministries in 1986, ordained in 1989 and installed as Pastor of Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Reno NV in April 1990. Within a short while Bible Study Outreach Ministries formed it's own church and through the power of the Holy Spirit I pastored both churches for a period of 8 years. I did my undergraduate work at Pacific University in Oregon, transferred to U of W in Washington. I am presently working on my Masters of Divinity. My passion has been in outreach ministry. As Pastor I oversee all outreach and inreach ministries and I am personally active in prison, juvenile, and senior ministries. It is my desire to be considered by God as a "Faithful Servant". I was blessed to have a wife and partner in the Lord's work, Sister Andrea Tatum.

Many people refer to me as the "First Lady" but I see myself only as a Servant of the Lord. I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ over 30 years ago, not always living as I should have but always seeking for a closer walk with Him. Through the power of the Holy Spirit I was planted at Bible Study Outreach Ministries in 1987. As only God would will, I married Pastor Tatum in 1990. Since that time the Lord has developed a call on my life that has lead me into ministry building and has given me talents beyond my imagination. Out of this He led me to birth ministries - Echo Glen, King County Juvenile Detention Center, Sisters Of Standards, Childrens church, Daughters of Virtue, and Dorothy Day House. To His glory, I am presently active on the Board of Directors as church Treasurer, the Cannon House Assisted living ministry, Jubilee House women's ministry, Parkridge and Sunrise Assisted Living outreach teams and head of the Praise and Worship team, Children's ministry, and Dorothy Day House. It is an honor for me to work with my husband in the overseeing of Bible Study Outreach Ministries in it's entirety.

I have been saved for 22 years, and I love serving the Lord. I came to Bible study Outreach Ministries October 1999 and attended my first ever Women's Refresher (a time for the women of S.O.S. to get away and receive a fresh anointing from the Spirit of God through workshops and the shared Word). Shortly afterwards I became a member. I serve the Lord as part of the Board of Directors for the church, as well as Co-Director of Fellowship, overseeing the hosting of any ministry that fellowships with us, as well as baptisms, funerals and weddings for any church members. I'm a leader at Parkridge outreach ministry (a long-term Adult care center) and co-leader of King County Juvenile detention center ministry. I serve at Echo Glen Youth Detention Center and also facilitate the Word at Dorothy Day House outreach ministry. I serve God within the ministry as co-leader of D.aughters O.f V.irtue E.ternally (a group of young ladies in the church striving to live holy in an unholy world), co-leader of our Children's church, overseeing Wednesday night children's bible study, as well as on our Finance team, Praise and Worship team and Usher's team. I am a member of S.isters O.f S.tandards (a group of Women at our church who, through accountability, have dedicated themselves to live Holy for Christ and uphold His standards for our lives). I am married to Bro. Haddish Semere
